KAWARTHA LAKES-Two people were arrested and charged with drinking and driving related offences on Tuesday.
Kawartha Lakes OPP say the first incident occurred at approximately 4:50 pm when officers responded to a complaint in the Cambray area. After an investigation, 71 year old Alan Shinton of Lindsay was arrested and charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC) and Driving With More Than 80 mgs of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) CCC.
About an hour later officers were called to a parking area in Fenelon Falls for a minor collision.Following an investigation, 48 year old Lauren Hayden of Fenelon Falls, was arrested and charged with Driving With More Than 80 mgs of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) CCC.
