Tornado Watch issued for parts of Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough

KAWARTHA LAKES- Environment Canada has issued a tornado watch for much of the City of Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough City and County.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that could produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and early this evening that could also produce torrential rains with large hail likely.

Environment Canada is warning residents to be prepared for severe weather and take cover if threatening weather approaches.
