Police seize powdered Fentanyl, 3 people charged

PETERBOROUGH-Powdered fentanyl, cocaine and marijuana were allegedly seized following a Thursday night traffic stop in Peterborough.

The Peterborough Police Service ICAD (Intelligence, Crime Analyst, Asset Forfeiture and Drugs) Unit along with members of the Street Crime Unit conducted a traffic stop in the area of Aylmer and Simcoe Streets as the result of an ongoing investigation. 

 Three people were arrested and charged. 19 Aaron Stewart, age 19 of Bayley Street, Ajax, 25 year old Spencer Cooper of McKellar Street in Peterborough and a 17 year old male from Ajax have been charged with Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl, possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine and proceeds of crime.

The following items were allegedly seized during the investigation:

·         49 grams of powdered fentanyl

·         19 grams of cocaine

·         A quantity of marijuana

·         Approximately $5,000 Canadian Currency

 A motor vehicle was also seized as offence related property according to police. .
