Future so bright they had to steal shades Police say

KAWARTHA LAKES- A grocery store in the west end of Lindsay contacted police after Loss Prevention staff apprehended a woman for allegedly stealing sunglasses.

Police say they were told a store Loss Prevention officer had observed a woman in the store select two pairs of sunglasses and then conceal them on their person. She then allegedly left the store without making any effort to pay for the glasses. The woman was also found to have a warrant for her arrest that was outstanding.

22-year-old Katherine Rebecca Howard of no fixed address was detained in custody on charges of Theft Under $5000.00 and Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000.00.
