Some scary moments downtown Lindsay yesterday after a man was spotted pointing a gun at people.

Police received a call from concerned citizens on Thursday around noon about a man on Kent Street West and Cambridge Street in the downtown area of Lindsay who was allegedly wielding a rifle and pointing it at people. Officers located the man and found he was carrying a plastic camouflage toy rifle.

Officers were familiar with the man and determined that he was breaching a condition of a recently issued probation order police say.

33-year-old Jason Tarso of no fixed address was held in custody on the charge of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order.
