Sudden death being investigated by coroner

The roads around the lift lock in peterborough were closed last night after police were called to reports of a body under the bridge.

Police say the call came in around 9:40 pm. Officers along with EMS and fire responded to the area of hunter Street East and Ashburnham Drive for a deceased female.

According to officers the incident appears non-criminal in nature and is now a Coroner’s investigation. There is no further police involvement.

This is the second sudden death being investigated by the coroner in Peterborough in the last week.
