Drug bust at motel in Beaverton

Four adults and two young people have been charged with numerous drug offences after an investigation by Durham Regional Police in Beaverton.

Police say in the early morning hours of April 21 members of the DRPS North Division Target Team executed a search warrant at a motel in Beaverton. A quantity of cocaine valued at approximately $2800 was seized.  Police say they also seized $1,400 in Canadian currency.

23 year old Simon James of Grackle Trail in Scarborough, 28 year old Amanda Penney of Norris Crescent in Toronto and a 17 year old male male from Pickering, have all been charged with trafficking. They were held for bail hearings.

Police have also charged 25 year old Kristina Ledger of Concession Road #4 in Brock, 19 year old Donte’a Mitchell of Sheppard Avenue in Pickering, and a 16 year-old female from Toronto have also been charged with possession of a controlled substance and trafficking in relation to this incident.
