Some Oakwood Residents May Experience Low Water Pressure On Thursday

KAWARTHA LAKES-Residents connected to the municipal drinking water system in Oakwood may experience temporary water pressure fluctuations or low water pressure on Thursday October 29, 2026.

The municipality says he changes are due to upgrades to the generator transfer switch, which require a temporary shutdown of the Oakwood Reservoir.

Water quality will not be affected, and the water will remain safe to drink according to the City. However, some residents may notice cloudy or discoloured water during or after the work. If this happens, run your cold water tap until the water runs clear.

Water pressure will return to normal once the upgrades are complete.
