KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police Service Uniform Branch and Criminal Investigations Branch with assistance from members of the public, identified and arrested a suspect they believe responsible for multiple commercial break and enters throughout Kawartha Lakes.
On September 17, 2026, officers located the accused without incident.
The accused has been charged in relation to multiple break and enter occurrences targeting local businesses within Kawartha Lakes. In addition to the break and enter-related charges, the accused was also arrested on two outstanding warrants.
Charges:
- Break and Enter x3, Contrary to Section 348(1)(b) Criminal Code
- Theft Under $5,000 x3, Contrary to Section 334(b) Criminal Code
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x3, Contrary to Section 354(1)(a) Criminal Code
- Fail to comply Probation Order x5, Contrary to Section 733.1(1) Criminal Code
- Mischief Under $5000, Contrary to Section 430 Criminal Code
- Trespass by Night, Contrary to Section 177 Criminal Code
- Possession of Break-in Instruments, Contrary to Section 351(1) Criminal Code
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
