Boil Water Advisory Issued For Norland Drinking Water System Has Been Rescinded

KAWARTHA LAKES-The boil water advisory issued on August 8, 2026, for the Norland Drinking Water System has been rescinded by the Medical Officer of Health.

Officials say the advisory was initially issued due to a loss of pressure in the distribution system. Following restoration of water pressure, the system operator completed the required flushing and disinfection procedures and submitted drinking water samples for testing. After receiving two satisfactory drinking water test results, taken at least 24 hours apart, Lakelands Public Health lifted the advisory on August 11, 2026.
Users of the Norland Drinking Water System are no longer required to boil their water. The water is safe for human consumption according to the Health Unit.
