ONTARIO-The Northumberland OPP is investigating an assault at Warkworth Institution.
On July 10, 2026, shortly after 5:00 p.m., police received a report that a staff member had been assaulted by an inmate at the facility.
The member of staff was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
This investigation is on-going and updates will be provided when available.
