Impaired Driving Charge Laid Following Traffic Stop In Fenelon Falls

KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP entered into an impaired driving investigation following a traffic stop.

On Monday June 29, 2026 at approximately 9:44 pm, officers on general patrol in Fenelon Falls observed a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop, through investigation the driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving related offences under the Criminal Code of Canada and offences under the Highway Traffic Act.

A 33-year-old of Fenelon Falls, was charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
  • Disobey Stop Sign

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The drivers licence was suspended for 90 days and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
