City Looking For Input From Residents On Use Of Recreation Facilities

KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes is launching a Recreation Facility Master Plan project and is looking for input from residents.

The City says the Recreation Facility Master Plan will guide future investments in community centres, arenas, pools and other multi-use recreation spaces. It will help determine how facilities should be renewed, improved or expanded to meet the needs of a growing and changing community.

Community input will help:

  • Understand how recreation facilities are used today
  • Identify gaps in services and programs
  • Plan for future population growth
  • Improve accessibility and inclusion
  • Explore opportunities for partnerships and shared services
  • Ensure future investments are sustainable and make the best use of available resources

Residents are encouraged to learn more and share their feedback through the City’s online engagement platform, Jump In.
