KAWARTHA LAKES-Hydro One is making changes to the areas impacted by a planned outage on May 23.
Some residents received notifications that the outage in their area had been cancelled leading some to believe the entire outage had been cancelled.
“Confirming that the planned outage has not been cancelled. As we approach the date of the plan outage, we continue to refine plans and where we can keep customers on, we do, so only those customers are receiving notifications that they won’t be affected.” Tiziana Baccega Rosa, Sr. Media Relations Advisor, Hydro One told Kawartha 411 News.Â
Originally approximately 16,000 people were scheduled for the May 23 outage from 9pm to 5am.
Officials say i you haven’t received a notification from Hydro One that the outage in your area has been cancelled then you’re still on the list for an outage.
