Municipal Hours Of Operations For Family Day On Monday February 16, 2026

KAWARTHA LAKES-Please note the following changes to hours of operation and service schedules on Monday February 16, 2026 (Family Day) for the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Administration Offices

All administrative offices and Municipal Service Centres are closed on Monday February 16. Municipal Service Centres will return to regular business hours on Tuesday February 17.

Waste Collection and Landfills

All landfills will be closed on Monday February 16.

Please be advised that for the week of February 16, all curbside collection will take place one day later than your normal collection day. To avoid any delays, please be sure to have your materials to the curb by 7am on your collection day.

• Monday February 16 curbside collection will be on Tuesday February 17
• Tuesday February 17 curbside collection will be on Wednesday February 18
• Wednesday February 18 curbside collection will be on Thursday February 19
• Thursday February 19 curbside collection will be on Friday February 20

*New: If your household is included in the Organics Program, your regular organics pickup will be moving from Friday to Saturday February 21.

Public Library

All library branches will be closed on Monday February 16, with regular operating hours returning on Tuesday February 17.

Residents can continue to access our digital collection, including eBooks, audiobooks, and online resources, anytime at home through the Kawartha Lakes Library website.

Don’t forget to explore our Family Day Take-Home Packs, personalized keychain workshop, and Library of Things items available leading up to the holiday.

Lindsay Transit

There will be no Lindsay Transit or LIMO Specialized Transit service on Monday February 16.

Regular service will return on Tuesday, February 17.

Parks and Recreation

The Lindsay Recreation Complex will be open from 8am to 4pm on Family Day with a variety of programs being offered. All other Parks and Recreation facilities, including the Administrative Office located at 50 Wolfe Street in Lindsay, are closed on Monday February 16, 2026 and no programs will be running.

The Lindsay Recreation Complex will be offering a modified schedule including Skates, Swims and Fitness programming. To view the schedule and register, please visit our Online Program Registration website.
