KAWARTHA LAKES-On Monday, January 5, 2026, at approximately 12:19 p.m., City of Kawartha Lakes OPP officers were dispatched to a multi vehicle collision on Killarney Bay Road between Highway 35 and Cambray Road.
Upon arrival officers along with the Kawartha Lakes Fire Service and Kawartha Lakes EMS began to tend to the scene where two motor vehicles were known to be involved.
A 60 year old female from Orillia was transported to a local area hospital but has since been pronounced deceased. The other driver was uninjured.
Visibility at the time was limited due to the falling snow. If anyone has any information or video footage of the scene, they are asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP.
Killarney Bay Road will remain closed, between Highway 35 and Cambray Road, for the foreseeable future while members from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Team conduct an investigation.
