PETERBOROUGH-Two local men are facing impaired driving charges in Peterborough.
At approximately 3:10am on Saturday, November 22 officers were called to a vehicle into a hydro pole at Water Street and Langton Street. Upon arrival, officers located the driver and conducted a roadside test.
As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old Bancroft man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Careless Driving (Highway Traffic Act)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment and was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court December 30, 2025.
At approximately 2:45am on Saturday, November 22 officers on general patrol in the Water Street and Sherbrooke Street area conducted a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the driver, officers noticed signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old Hastings man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Novice driver BAC above zero (Highway Traffic Act)
- Driving while under suspension (Highway Traffic Act)
- Drive without proper headlights – motor vehicle (Highway Traffic Act)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day license suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment and was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court, December 30, 2025.
