KAWARTHA LAKES-Residents and visitors of Kawartha Lakes are invited to take part in the final Connections and Conversations event of 2025 to celebrate a milestone in local history.
Join local historian Ian McKechnie on Saturday, October 11, 2025, for a guided tour of Riverside Cemetery in Lindsay, which is marking its 155th anniversary.
The cemetery is home to generations of stories, notable figures, and heritage that have helped shape our community. Two tour times will be offered, at 11am and 4pm at Riverside Cemetery, located at 347 Lindsay Street South, Lindsay.
“Connections and Conversations has been an incredible way for our community to come together, learn, and celebrate our heritage,” said Laura Love, Economic Development Officer – Curatorial Services. “This special anniversary tour of Riverside Cemetery is a meaningful way to wrap up the 2025 series, and we are thrilled to be partnering with Ian McKechnie to share these fascinating stories.”
This event is a fun way to kick off spooky season with a family-friendly experience, while also learning more about the people and history that built our community.
As admission, attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation in support of Kawartha Lakes Food Source.
