KAWARTHA LAKES-Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Edward Graham of Lindsay. He matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the June 17, 2025 LOTTO MAX draw to win $100,000!
Edward, a retiree, has been playing the lottery with OLG for over 20 years. He typically plays twice a week and enjoys draw-based games like LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49. Edward uses OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make his selections and always adds ENCORE to his tickets. Now, his dedication has paid off, as he’s celebrating his first big win!
“I went to the gas station to pump gas and decided to purchase this ticket as well,” Edward recounted, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his windfall. “The next day, I went to the store, handed my ticket to the cashier, and asked her to validate it for me. When she scanned it, the lottery terminal froze and displayed the words ‘Big Winner.’ I was shocked and confused at the same time!”
Edward returned home and told his family about his $100,000 win. “At first, no one believed me,” he said with a laugh. “They all thought I was kidding until I showed them the receipt. Everyone was so happy for me.”
Although he hasn’t made any definite plans for his winnings just yet, Edward is considering taking a well-deserved vacation. “I feel very good and fortunate to be a winner,” he concluded with a smile.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Clonsilla Avenue in Peterborough.
