KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that took place at 3:08 am on August 16, 2025.
City of Kawartha Lakes OPP, along with fire and EMS were dispatched to a collision on Eldon Road between Black School Road and Peniel Road. A crash notification from a cell phone alerted officers to the collision, officers attended the scene locating a motor vehicle had struck a tree and a farmers fence. The driver was the only person located in the collision and was transported to a Toronto hospital with serious injuries.
Eldon Road was closed between Black School Road and Peniel Road until 10:23 am while members trained in collision reconstruction measured and documented the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
