Kawartha Lakes OPP Charge Two People With Impaired Driving Related Offences On Wednesday

KAWARTHA LAKES-City of Kawartha Lakes OPP charged two people with impaired driving related offences on Wednesday, August 13.

At approximately 6:53 pm, officers were notified of a motor vehicle driving through the road closure barricade on Bury’s Green Road which was closed for a fire. Officers located the vehicle which had crashed and driver who had left the scene according to police. The driver sustained minor injuries from the collision. The driver was arrested and charged with Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act offences.

Allison Murray, 43-year-old of Irondale, was charged with:

  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
  • Careless Driving
  • Fail to Report Accident
  • Fail to Remain

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The drivers license was suspended for 90 days and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

City of Kawartha Lakes OPP officers entered into an impaired driving investigation while in Woodville for an unrelated event.

On Wednesday August 13, 2025 at approximately 6:27 pm, officers observed the driver of a motor vehicle on Agnes Street and entered into an impaired driving investigation. The driver was arrested and charged with a Criminal Code offence.

Carter Prosser, 29-year-old of Woodville, was charged with:

  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The drivers license was suspended for 90 days and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
