Community Invited To Get A Sweet Treat At Victoria Manor Bake Sale on July 30

KAWARTHA LAKES-Do you have a sweet tooth? Get your fill of baked goods, and help a good cause at the Victoria Manor Bake Sale on Wednesday, July 30.

The Victoria Manor Resident Council and Community Crew are working together to host a bake sale from 1pm to 3pm on Wednesday, July 30. Stop by and pick out a treat (or two!).

The residents have chosen to support the set-up of Victoria Manor’s new Palliative Care Carts with the funds they raise during the bake sale. Palliative care carts are intended for residents and their family and friends during residents’ end of life care. The carts have supplies that may be necessary to keep their loved ones comfortable while sitting at the bedside for prolonged periods. Some examples of the offerings of the carts include; wireless speakers for background music/noise, note pads, pens, personal hygiene supplies, like a combs, hair elastics or toothbrushes, a cozy blanket, a book and different resources on end of life care and self-care after loss.
