KAWARTHA LAKES-A Burnt River resident is facing charges after a traffic stop on Many 13th.
Police say at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle for a Highway Traffic act offence. Through investigation the driver was charged with Impaired driving offences.
28-year-old Cody Vickerson of Burnt River, was charged with:
- Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Speeding 1- 49 km/h over posted limit
- Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
Vickerson is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date and received a 90 day licence suspension and his vehicle is impounded for 7 days.
