Suspicious Vehicle Call Leads To Charges

NORTHUMBERLAND-The Northumberland OPP charged two people following a call regarding a suspicious vehicle.

On March 10, 2025, at around 2:15 p.m., OPP received a report regarding a pickup truck on Pogue Road which appeared to be stuck in the snow and contents had been thrown out of the vehicle.

Police say officers arrived and observed the described vehicle pull into a driveway with two occupants inside. Officers spoke to both occupants who were not in distress and uninjured. Through investigation, both persons were wanted on warrants in relation to prior incidents and subsequently taken into custody.

47-year-old Sherry Foster from the Municipality of Trent Hills, wanted on a warrant dating back to April 2023, has been charged with:

–      Unlawfully in a dwelling house.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.

36-year-old Justin Haney also from the Municipality of Trent Hills, also wanted on warrants dating back to April 2023, has been charged with:

–      Unlawfully enter a dwelling house – two counts

–      Mischief

–      Breach of probation.

Both were held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
