PETERBOROUGH-A 47-year-old Kingston man who is a part time course instructor at Trent University has been charged with sexual assault after an incident in Peterborough last Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 7:50pm on December 10, 2024, officers were made aware of an incident that had happened earlier in the afternoon involving an instructor in the Mathematics Department and a student. Police say the incident happened when the student asked for extra help in preparation for an exam. During the meeting, which was off campus at a local business at the request of the part-time course instructor, it involved non-consensual touching according to police.
As a result, an investigation was conducted and on Friday, December 13, 2024, 47-year-old Abdalla Mansur was arrested in Kingston and brought back to Peterborough.
He appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday (WASH) court on December 14, 2024.
The Peterborough Police Service says it has concerns that there may be other victims and as such is issuing a media release which includes the suspect’s name for that reason.
