89-Year-Old Woman In Life-Threatening Condition After Brush Fire In Northumberland

NORTHUMBERLAND-The Northumberland OPP IS investigating a fire at a residential location in the Township of Hamilton.

On November 3, 2024, at approximately 9:40 a.m., OPP responded to a report of a brush fire on private property near a residence on Danforth Road West. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Township of Hamilton Fire Department were already at the location.

An 89-year-old woman from the Township of Hamilton, was transported to a local hospital where injuries are described as life-threatening.

An OPP Scenes Of Crime Officer (SOCO) attended the scene to assist with the investigation. The office of the Ontario Fire Marshall (OFM) was notified and at this time, is not attending.

This investigation is on-going, and updates will be provided if and when available.
