KAWARTHAS-A drug investigation led by The OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) resulted in the arrest of two individuals.
Police say on March 26, 2024, Officers seized approximately $6500 worth of Fentanyl, a cellular device and approximately $5000 in Canadian Currency, as a result of an investigation that had been ongoing since early March, officers located and arrested an individual who was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
26-year-old Miguel Olszewski of Bancroft, Ontario, has been charged with:
· Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition order- three counts
· Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo- two counts
· Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm- two counts
· Unauthorized possession of a firearm- three counts
· Fail to comply with Probation order- three counts
· Careless use of a firearm
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl
· Possession of property obtained by Crime Under $5000
Olszewski was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on March 27, 2024.
Jill Price, 41 years old of Bancroft, Ontario, has been charged with Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm according to police.
Price will be attending a bail hearing on a later date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville, Ontario.
