UPDATE:FOUND-OPP Continues Search For Man Who Went Missing On His Way To The Bobcaygeon Area

KAWARTHA LAKES-Peterborough County OPP continues to search for a missing 34-year-old man who is believed to be on his way to the Bobcaygeon area.

On December 24, 2023, the Peterborough County OPP received a call from an individual reporting an abandoned vehicle had been found on a trail just off County Road 507 in the Municipality of Trent Lakes near Bobcaygeon. Officers attended the location finding the vehicle, a grey/silver pickup truck, with a large German Sheppard dog wandering around it. A tag on the dog’s collar contained a phone number the same as the registered owner of the vehicle. Officers attempted to contact the owner but have been unsuccessful at reaching them.

The Peterborough County OPP are asking for public assistance in locating 34-year-old ‘Ryan’. Ryan is six-foot tall, medium build with curly dark brown hair and brown eyes. It is believed that Ryan may now be operating a blue Dodge Ram with Ontario licence plate ‘BR65060’. Police are looking for any information that may assist us in locating Ryan to confirm his well-being.

Ryan is described as 6’0″, 175lbs, brown hair and brown eyes with a medium build, mixed length curly dark brown hair and brown eyes. It is believed he was last making his way up to the Bobcaygeon/Crystal Lake area.

Police urge the public to call in tips on this case, or others, to the Peterborough OPP at 705-742-0401, the non-emergency line (888) 310-1122 or to Crime Stoppers.
