27-Year Old-Norwood Man Killed In Crash On County Road 40

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP and emergency crews responded to the scene of a single motor vehicle collision that occurred on County Road 40 between County Road 6 and Webster Road late last night.

At approximately 11:15pm officers received a call reporting a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 40. A pickup truck had left the roadway entering the ditch and striking a rock wall at which point the driver was ejected from the vehicle. There were no other occupants in the vehicle according to police.

The driver, a 27-year-old male from Norwood, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. No name was released.

County Road 40 remained closed for several hours while police investigated, and members trained in collision reconstruction measured and documented the scene.

Anyone who may have witnessed or has video/dash camera footage of the collision and has not spoken with police is asked to contact the Peterborough County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
