Winter Weather Travel Advisory Issued For Kawartha Lakes And Peterborough

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Winter Weather Travel Advisory is in effect for Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough.

Weather advisory in effect for:

  • Apsley – Woodview – Northern Peterborough County
  • Fenelon Falls – Balsam Lake Park – Northern Kawartha Lakes
  • Lindsay – Southern Kawartha Lakes
  • Peterborough City – Lakefield – Southern Peterborough County

Additional snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are possible today with slippery surfaces due to accumulating snow now through this afternoon.

Snow will continue for a few more hours before coming to an end late this afternoon.

Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
