Municipal Hours Of Operation For Thanksgiving Weekend

KAWARTHA LAKES-For the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the following hours of operation will apply.

Municipal Administration
All municipal administrative buildings will be closed on Monday October 10 for the statutory holiday.

Waste and Recycling
Waste and recycling collection will move forward one day next week:

  • Regular Monday collection will take place on Tuesday
  • Regular Tuesday collection will take place on Wednesday
  • Regular Wednesday collection will take place on Thursday
  • Regular Thursday collection will take place on Friday

Landfills:

  • The Lindsay Ops Landfill will be closed Monday October 10.
  • All other landfill sites will be open the following hours:
    • Eldon: 11am to 5pm
    • Fenelon: 9am to 5pm
    • Laxton: 11am to 5pm
    • Somerville: 11am to 5pm

Public Library
All library branches will be closed on Monday October 10, regular hours of operation will resume on Tuesday October 11.

Lindsay Transit
No transit service on Monday October 10.

Parks and Recreation
The Lindsay Recreation Complex and Forbert Memorial Pool and Workout Centre in Bobcaygeon will be closed Monday October 10.

The Weight Room and Forbert Workout Centre will operate on regular hours for Saturday October 8 and Sunday October 9 but there will not be any fitness or aquatics classes on Saturday October 8 at the Lindsay Recreation Complex or Forbert Memorial Pool and Workout Centre in Bobcaygeon.

The Parks and Recreation administration office (50 Wolfe Street) will be closed on Monday October 10 and will re-open Tuesday October 11 for regular hours of operation.
