Little Britain Road Closed In Both Directions After Serious Motorcycle Crash

KAWARTHA LAKES-Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP are currently investigating a serious collision involving a single motorcycle on Little Britain Road in the Township of Mariposa.

On Sunday, August 7, 2022, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP along with emergency services responded to serious motorcycle collision on Little Britain Road near Beacroft Road.

The initial investigation revealed that the driver of the motorcycle failed to negotiate a turn and left the roadway according to police. The driver was transported to a local hospital where she was later air-lifted to a Toronto trauma centre.

The OPP Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) team was brought in to investigate. The investigation is continuing and anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
