Long Guns, Replica Firearm and Ammunition Recovered After Search Warrant Executed In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Three long guns, a replica firearm and ammunition was seized after the Kawartha Lakes Police Service executed a search warrant in Lindsay.

On Friday, July 22 at approximately 9:43am officers attended a Cambridge Street South residence in Lindsay and arrested two occupants as part of an ongoing investigation.  A search warrant was executed on the property later the same day according to police. 

Members of the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, Criminal Investigation Branch and Drug Enforcement Unit, executed the search warrant just before 9pm, which resulted in the recovery of three long guns, a replica firearm and ammunition. 

29-year-old Jake Breen of Lindsay, was charged with the following:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm 91(1) X2
  • Possession of Prohibited Device or Ammunition 92(2)
  • Adult Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose 88
  • Adult Breach of Firearms Regulation – Store Firearm or Restricted Firearm 86(2) X2
  • Possession of Ammunition of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order 117.01(1) X3
  • Fail to Comply with Probation

Breen was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay. 

29-year-old Lyndsay Howard of Lindsay, was charged with the following: 

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm 91(1) X2
  • Possession of Prohibited Device or Ammunition 92(2)
  • Adult Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose 88
  • Adult Breach of Firearms Regulation – Store Firearm or Restricted Firearm 86(2) X2

Howard will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on September 1, 2022.
