Disturbance On Ridout Street In Lindsay Leads To Impaired Driving Charges On Highway 35

KAWARTHA LAKES-A disturbance that started on Ridout Street in Lindsay ended with charges on Highway 35 a short time later.

Officers from the Kawartha Lakes Police Service were called to a disturbance on Ridout St in Lindsay on Tuesday July 12,2022 at approximately 8:30pm o

When the officers arrived, they discovered that the people involved had already left the area and were provided with a description of the vehicle that were in. A short time later, a vehicle matching the description was located travelling northbound on Highway 35 South at a high rate of speed according to police. The vehicle was stopped and as a result of the investigation the driver, 20-year-old Tristan Hord of Kawartha Lakes was arrested and charged with Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and numerous Highway Traffic Act offences.

Hord was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on August 18, 2022
