Stunt Driving Charge Laid After Vehicle Allegedly Clocked Going 174km/h

PETERBOROUGH-A 24-year-old driver from North York is facing stunt driving charges.

Peterborough County OPP was conducting radar patrol on Highway 115 yesterday afternoon when officers allegedly clocked a vehicle travelling 174 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone.

The driver has been charged with Drive motor vehicle-perform stunt-excessive speed.

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 30 days and vehicle impounded for 14 days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on October 24, 2022.
