Bobcaygeon Beach Park Beach Area To Reopen Friday July 1, 2022

KAWARTHA LAKES-Good news for Bobcaygeon residents and tourists heading to vacation in the area.

The City says Bobcaygeon Beach Park beach area will open effective Friday, July 1, 2022. The remainder of the property including the park and boat launch is still under construction and will not available for use at this time.

Councillor Kathleen Seymour-Fagan says she is happy that at least the beach will be open for the summer.

“This has been a long time coming and residents have been very anxious about it. I have received numerous emails every week with regard to the progress at Beach Park.” Seymour-Fagan told Kawartha 411 News. “I was happy to hear the beach will be open but feel more needs to be done to complete the overall project. I won’t rest until it’s done”

Please do not cross the safety fence located throughout the property.

The beach and the park have been closed for construction for two summers.

Parking: Parking will not be available at Bobcaygeon Beach Park at this time as the parking lot remains under construction. Please use the parking lot at the Bobcaygeon/Verulam Community Centre at 51 Mansfield Street.
