Tipping Fee Storm Relief At Local Landfills Ending June 26,2022

KAWARTHA LAKES-If you have spoiled food or yard waste to get rid of following the storm on May 21, you only have a few more days to do so without paying tipping fees.

Since the storm the municipality has been providing relief to residents by waiving tipping fees at landfills for spoiled food and yard waste.

The last day for waived fees will be Sunday June 26. As of Monday June 27, regular tipping fees will apply.

For leaf and yard waste, up to 250 kg (550 lbs) can be dropped off for free at any of our landfills during regular operating hours. For details on landfill hours, visit our website.

For residents with “special circumstances” who may need assistance, you may contact one of the City staff listed below to discuss.
