KAWARTHA LAKES-Some students at IE Weldon Secondary School in Lindsay got a surprise at lunch hour today.
Witnesses say a truck lost its load which then became engulfed in flames. It happened at the corner of Highway 36 and Weldon Road at approximately 11 am.
Fire crews were called and quick to douse the flames. A number of students were nearby and crowded around to watch emergency crews at work.
It’s unclear what caused the load to catch fire.
Police say no charges were laid.
