One Person Reportedly Trapped After Crash Involving Propane Truck On Highway 35

Kawartha Lakes-A propane truck has rolled into its side after a two vehicle crash on Highway 35 near the Manvers arena this afternoon.

Police say at approximately 1:45 pm on April 27, 2022 police, fire and EMS were dispatched to the head on collision in Manvers Township. The driver of the SUV was transported to hospital with serious injuries and later pronounced deceased.

The deceased driver has been identified as Robert Bond, 58 years-of-age, of Bowmanville.

The highway remained closed for several hours while the OPP’s OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) were deployed to the scene to assist with the investigation.

There’s no word on the cause of the crash.
