Mill Pond Bridge In Omemee Reopens To Vehicular Traffic

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Mill Pond Bridge on Mary Street in Omemee is now open to vehicular and foot traffic.

In 2019, the bridge was identified as having a structural issue that required it to be closed to vehicular traffic. It was reconstructed in 2021-2022.

The City says a final lift of asphalt is still required and will take up to three days of additional closures to complete. This work will begin once asphalt begins to be available for the season.

“We thank the residents of Omemee for their patience during this project.” said the City.
