Scarborough Woman Charged In Theft Of Alcohol From Bridgenorth Business

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP was called to investigate a theft from a business located in the village of Bridgenorth that occurred at approximately 4:15pm yesterday afternoon. The complainant reported that the suspect stole several bottles of alcohol and fled in a brown sport utility vehicle (SUV).

The vehicle was located travelling westbound on Highway 7 in the City of Kawartha Lakes and a traffic stop was initiated. The suspect was arrested and the bottles of alcohol were recovered according to police.

V Jeannine Arsenault (age 40) of Scarborough, was charged with:

• Theft under $5000-shoplifting

• Dangerous operation

• Mischief under $5000

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on May 24, 2022.
