Two COVID Outbreaks At Ross Memorial Hospital Declared Over

KAWARTHA LAKES-Some good news for patients and staff at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay.

Two ongoing COVID-19 outbreaks have been declared over. In order for that to happenĀ there needs to be 10 consecutive days without any transmission within the hospital.

An outbreak was declared on the Surgical South Unit on February 14th. At that time the hospital hadĀ less than six COVID-19 positive staff members and less than six COVID-19 positive patients connected to the outbreak.

An outbreak on the Medical Unit was declared on February 4th.

Seven COVID-19 positive staff members and 10 COVID-19 positive patients were connected to the outbreak.

The hospital currently has 5 patients admitted with COVID-19, two with COVID as a primary cause of admission.
