UPDATE: Road Open-Highway 36 Closed Between Dunsford and Sturgeon Road After Collision

KAWARTHA LAKES-THE OPP has closed Highway 36 (Kawartha Lakes Road 36)between Dunsford Road and Sturgeon Road after a crash at approximately 7:30pm this evening.

Police say a vehicle travelling northbound crossed the centre line and struck a vehicle travelling southbound. There were minor injuries to several people involved who were transported to a local hospital according to the OPP.

The driver was charged with careless driving.

The road was closed in both directions with traffic being rerouted through Dunsford. It has since reopened.
