Freezing Drizzle Advisory Issued For Kawartha Lakes And Peterborough

KAWARTHA LAKES-Environment Canada has issued a Freezing Drizzle Advisory for Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough.

Freezing drizzle advisory in effect for:

  • Apsley – Woodview – Northern Peterborough County
  • Fenelon Falls – Balsam Lake Park – Northern Kawartha Lakes
  • Lindsay – Southern Kawartha Lakes
  • Peterborough City – Lakefield – Southern Peterborough County

Freezing drizzle is expected tonight and Wednesday morning with icy and slippery conditions due to freezing drizzle overnight through Wednesday morning.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Freezing drizzle can produce thin, hard-to-detect layers of ice. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.
