COVID Outbreak Declared At Ross Memorial Hospital

KAWARTHA LAKES-The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit has reported a COVID-19 outbreak at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay.

The outbreak is in the Medical Unit and was declared on Friday, February 4, 2022.

To date, six staff and six patients on the unit have tested positive for COVID-19 according to the hospital.

“The hospital is following its outbreak policy and procedures to identify new cases, limit transmission, and ensure patients continue to receive exceptional care.”

An outbreak has also been declared at Frost Manor in Lindsay.

Since July 1, 2021 there has been 2930 cases of COVID in the fully vaccinated in the HKPR region, 1183 in the unvaccinated, 194 partially vaccinated and 55 not yet protected.
