School Board Says Reports Of Threats To Students At Lindsay School Are Rumours

KAWARTHA LAKES-Panicked parents took to social media on Wednesday after hearing from their kids about threats to IE Weldon Secondary School.

Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB)says they heard about the issue and police were called.

“We are aware of a rumour that has been circulating and the school principal at IE Weldon alerted the police.” Sinead Fegan,Communications TLDSB told Kawartha 411 News.  “The police have done an investigation and concluded that there is no truth to the rumours. IE Weldon continues to be a safe place for students and staff.”
We have contacted Kawartha Lakes Police Service but have not yet had a response.
