Highway 36 Closed Just North Of Lindsay Due To Collision

KAWARTHA LAKES-On December 2nd, 2021 just after 3pm the Kawartha Lakes Police Service was called to the area of Cty Rd 36 and Snug Harbour Rd for a motor vehicle collision between a northbound car and a southbound dump truck.

Officers and other emergency responders arrived and determined that the driver of the car had succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the deceased person is not being released at this time.

The roadway was closed for many hours as Kawartha Lakes Police Service officers investigated the collision with the assistance of the OPP’s Traffic Unit. Anyone with any information regarding this collision is requested to contact the Kawartha Lakes Police Service at 705-324-5252.

There’s no word on charges. The road has reopened.
