Police Looking To identify Individual In Relation To “Suspicious” Boat Fire In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKEs-Kawartha Lakes Police Service is looking to identify an individual in relation to a boat fire in Lindsay that has been deemed suspicious.

Police say on Thursday October 14, 2021 at 3:32am the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a boat fire on the Scugog River in the area of Lindsay Street North. Kawartha Lakes Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the fire, but the boat sustained extensive damage. There were no injuries as a result of the fire which has been determined to be suspicious according to police.

The Criminal Investigation Branch has taken over the investigation which remains active. Investigators have obtained video footage and are looking to identify and speak with the individual pictured below.
