Kawartha Lakes Police Department Charge Male With Theft After A Trailer Was Stolen

KAWARTHA LAKES – The Kawartha Lakes Police Department has charged a male with theft after receiving reports of a suspicious person.

According to police, on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at 6:38am, officials responded to the Kent Street West business area after a witness had observed a male remove a utility trailer from a Kent Street West business and walk eastbound on Kent Street pulling the trailer.

Officers located the male and the store sales tags and stickers were still attached to the trailer. Police say 38-year-old Shaun Link of Cannington was placed under arrest and is charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on October 14, 2021.
