Kawartha Lakes Police Dismantling Large Indoor Grow-Op In Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES – The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service is currently on the scene on Mount Hope Street in Lindsay.
Officers are working with crews from the City to dismantle a large indoor Cannabis grow-op in the old Great Lakes Recreation building. Approximately 9,000 plants are being removed and dumped into huge city trucks.
Police say this was a legal cannabis operation that was growing well beyond what was allowed in its license. The landlord allegedly had initiated eviction proceedings and alerted police about the amount of product in the building.
Police say no charges have yet been laid.
